Whats this About?

Well
I have been offered a place on the MA Art in Public at the University of Ulster Belfast this September. The sad news is there is no funding available for fees for MA Degrees, therefore I need to raise money to pay the fees myself.

Get a job I hear you say, I have applied for a few jobs that will enable me to support myself, however they do not pay enough to support myself and pay tution fees as well.
So I am asking for your help

All you have to do is maybe buy a raffle ticket for £1 in return you may win one of my artworks or one of someone who is actually well known :-). To start the ball rolling I have on offer one of my prints. See the raffle page for details.

I will be adding other works for sale shortly so watch this space. Or if you are just a kind person with loads of money you could make a donation, amount of your choice to sopranio@yahoo.com.

Information on the course below.
MA Art in Public

http://prospectus.ulster.ac.uk/course/?id=7752

This programme examines how and where art connects with audience, participants, contexts and situations. It has evolved from concerns for the role of art and artists as society changes under the influence of two main interlinked trends: globalisation and digitisation. It interrogates the civil ‘territories’ of art and the modes of practice to inhabit and develop them as well developing testing modes of working that are dialogic, participatory, interventionist and collaborative in intention and structure.

The programme has been designed for self-motivated creative professionals by the high profile and experienced programme team who have worked in this field at an international level for many years. It aims to prepare graduates to enter the professional world of contemporary practitioners and to be able to compete in today’s market. It also offers the route to further research and the potential for moving towards a PhD.

The programme is offered jointly by the School of Art and Design and the University’s Interface research centre and therefore benefits from a wide range of high specification facilities (such as laser cutter and video and audio editing) which are accessible to masters students.

The MA is the only programme in the island of Ireland which deals specifically with art in public practices.
